Ghanaian media personality and broadcast journalist, Afia Pokua, popularly known as Vim Lady, has criticised her colleagues at Despite Media, accusing them of sabotaging her work due to envy and what she described as 'witchcraft.'
Her outbursts come in the wake of the August 17, 2024, episode of United Showbiz, which was broadcast live from New Jersey, USA.
According to Afia Pokua, the successful execution of the show from the United States should be commended.
However, she used the opportunity to rekindle a past controversy with her colleagues at the media firm, whom she referred to as the "three musketeers."

These individuals, she claims, had initially criticised and blocked her from hosting a similar e-show from abroad.
The dispute dates back to April 2022, when Kwame Nkrumah Tikese, host of Okay FM Morning Show; Ohenenana Kwame Amo, a news broadcaster at Despite Media; and Maame Biamah Kwafo, a news broadcaster at the firm, during a broadcast on Okay FM, criticised Afia Pokua for hosting her "Gyaso Gyaso" show remotely.
In a recent video shared on her social media page, Afia Pokua expressed her frustration over the situation.
"Congratulations should go to Dr. Fadda Dickson and the entire team for doing an e-show from New Jersey to Ghana. This is what I proposed three years ago at Despite Media, but the three musketeers came on air to insult me just because using technology in the media was alien to their thinking," she stated.
Afia Pokua further alleged that the reason her show was sabotaged was due to jealousy.
"Because Vim Lady proposed it, we should shut it down and insult her. Today, they have been disgraced. Fadda Dickson is doing an e-show from America.
"I have been to America with Ato Kwabena Dadzie; everyone uses technology. One thing I have learned coming to America is that things are changing, and people are using technology, with predictions that in 20 years, people will mostly watch TV online instead of the traditional way. If they had supported my idea three years ago, things would be different now,” she said.
Afia Pokua also accused her colleagues of deliberately sabotaging her show, recounting incidents where the internet connection was cut, Facebook was blocked, and other attempts were made to disrupt her program.
"Because of envy, selfishness, and witchcraft (aboro ne bayie), they shot the idea down because Vim Lady was doing the show.
“Gyaso Gyaso show will be ongoing, then someone will turn off the internet, block Facebook, and do many things thinking they are sabotaging me. Yet, the content doesn’t belong to me.
“They think because Vim Lady is abroad, she is making money; hence, they won't allow her, and they killed the show. But today, Fadda Dickson has disgraced the three musketeers and all those who supported them," she added.
