Anfoega (V/R), Sept. 12, GNA - The Vine Branches Network Mission, a religious non-governmental organisation (NGO), in collaboration with World-Wide Lighthouse Mission Incorporated of the USA on Thursday donated a number of healthcare delivery items valued at 60 million cedis to the Anfoega Catholic Hospital in the Kpando District. The items included a theatre table, two hospital beds with mattresses, wheelchair, theatre equipment and a set of encyclopaedia. Presenting the items, Mrs Esther Tawiah, Director of Vine Branches Network Mission, said the Mission took the plight of the people in the area to heart and decided to supplement the efforts of the government in improving healthcare delivery in the area.
Mrs Tawiah asked the hospital authorities to take good care of the items.
Dr Martin Nyadziehe, Medical Officer in-charge of the hospital, Mr Fabien Donkor, Hospital Administrator and Madam Hellen Darkey, Matron jointly received the items.
Dr Nyadziehe said the items had come at the right time to support health delivery in the area and expressed the hope that other NGOs and institutions would assist the hospital to improve healthcare delivery in the area.
He said ultra-sound; oxygen tent, anaesthetic machines and accessories were some of the things the Hospital needed.
