Violence hangs over 2016 election – Owusu Bempah

The 2016 general elections would be characterized by violence and bloodshed if Ghanaians do not pray ceaselessly ahead of the polls, the Founder and Leader of the Glorious Word Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah has prophesied.

Rev. Owusu Bempah who indicated he had revelation from God, said he needed to inform Ghanaians about the impending calamity for it to be averted through prayers.

“In the revelation, I saw trouble looming and a terrible wind blowing over the country, I saw bloodshed and I was alarmed,” Rev. Owusu Bempah told journalists at his Busia-Junction Church yesterday, urging the clergy to pray for the country in order to prevent any tragedy. “If we don’t pray to avert the situation, what happened to Cote D’lvoire and Liberia might befall us too,” the man of God warned.

Rev. Owusu Bempah said there will be confusion during the election because a party may want to steal the verdict of the people and this will be the beginning of the crisis. He said as a result of this revelation, his Church is holding one week special prayers from Monday November 17 to Sunday November 23, 2014 for God to intercede.

Speaking to journalists ahead of the programme, which is on the theme ‘Redeem Your Promises Oh Lord,’ Rev. Owusu Bempah entreated Ghanaians not to politicize the revelation.

“This issue is not about NPP, NDC, CPP, PPP or any political party, it is all about Ghana and we should all pray to prevent any danger that might befall us”, he stressed.

Asked if he was not afraid of insults from people who may say, “This is Rev. Owusu Bempah again predicting doom,” the Founder and Leader of the Glorious Word Ministry International indicated he was not bordered about such invectives.

He said he will also deliver any message from God, no matter what people say about him, quoting Ezekiel 3:17-19 which says “Sons of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.”
