Ho, Feb. 13, GNA - The Volta Regional Police Command on Monday urged Dzolo and Avatime Traditional areas to exercise restraint while the police assist them in search of a teacher said to have gone missing. Deputy Commissioner of Police Bernard Dery, the Volta Regional Police Commander, told the GNA in an interview that the police were hopeful to trace Mr Anku Vava of Dzolo-Gbogame who allegedly got missing a month ago.
" In view of the fact that the missing teacher has allegedly be seen at different places at different times, we are hopeful and confident that with the cooperation of all we shall find him alive" he said.
Mr Dery appealed to the two areas to assist the police to control tension and maintain peace in the areas as the two belong to the same traditional council.
Mr Anku Vava, a JSS teacher and a father of seven who hails from Dzolo-Gbogame where he was teaching, was reported missing on January 11. Madam Rose Gbagbo, wife of Vava, said her husband visited her at Vane on Thursday January 11 and left for his station the next day. A week later, one of her daughters who was staying with her father at Dzolo alerted her that her father had not returned from Vane.
