Leaders of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah's Convention Peoples Party (CPP) in the Volta Region, have said they're working hard to rejuvenate the party in the region.

According to the regional secretary of the party, Arone Tetteh Agbenu, the party's leadership is working hard to support all parliamentary candidates on the party's ticket in the various constituencies.

He said the leadership is also working hard to rebirth the party in the region through vigorous campaigns on the late Kwame Nkrumah's policies and dreams for the country.

Arone Agbenu said this during the party's delegates' conference to elect a flagbearer on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, in Ho.

The secretary added that the party is ready to give the needed support to the flagbearer elect to make an impact in the December 7, 2024 elections.

He then called on party members in the region to unveil themselves for the growth of the CPP.

A founding member, Brown Adjetey, speaking at the conference, said it's time to rekindle Dr. Kwame Nkrumah's visions for Ghana.

He lamented bitterly on the country's status adding that it is only the CPP and Kwame Nkrumah's policies that can make Ghana a better place for all.

Mr. Adjetey condemned the free SHS programme, saying it will take the CPP to make it work better.

He also condemned corruption in the country's mining sector and argued that there's enough money from Ghana's minerals to develop the country but not to go for loans.

There is a group, the Pro-Nkrumah Unity Movement in the Volta Region led by Explo Nani-Kofi, a founding member, intending to rebuild the party.

Over the years, the movement visited some traditional areas, noble families, the aged, and groups in the region to preach Kwame Nkrumah's visions and remind them of the legacies of the late President.

The party aims to gather one million votes in the 2024 election and prepare a path for victory.
