The former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs has described the party’s General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia as very arrogant and an indiscipline person who should be voted out of office by delegates.
Speaking on Peace FM on Wednesday Allotey Jacobs said Mr Asiedu Nketia has become very arrogant and does not respect anyone including the National Chairman of the party, Kofi Portuphy.
“I’ve declared to support Koku Anyidoho, but I’m not part of his campaign but I’ve worked with him since 2006 and the sort of work we did to support late Prof. Mills to win the 2008 elections, it’s only Ambassador Victor Smith who can speak to this issue.
I believe Asiedu Nketia has become arrogant, he once forcefully snatched the microphone from the National Chairman at a meeting. Is that sign of respect for leadership, when you know that in opposition the National Chairman is the leader of the party. This incident happened in the presence of other national executive officers of the party and no one can deny this.”
“I have a lot of things to say about Asiedu Nketia at the right time and he knows that me, Allotey Jacobs will say it as it is. Asiedu Nketia’s time is up, he must go.
In our current dispensation the NDC doesn’t need a General Secretary who will only go on air to show his prowess in churning out proverbs without mounting a strong defence of the party.”
