The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the release of the provisional results and performance statistics for candidates of the 2024 WASSCE.
This was communicated in a statement released by WAEC on December 30, 2024.
The statement indicated that login details will be provided to heads of schools to enable them to access the results of their candidates.
Candidates can also access their results online via the WAEC portal.
WAEC cautioned stakeholders to be wary of fraudsters who promise to upgrade results for a fee.
The statement further noted that "candidates are advised that WAEC results are secure and can be authenticated using the council's verification system. The WAEC QR code can be downloaded and used to verify results."
In total, 460,611 candidates, comprising 212,954 males and 247,654 females from 1,003 schools, sat for the examination.
The number of absentees was 4,609, representing 1.0%. This figure is 2.66% higher than the 2023 entry figure of 448,674.
