WAGP Gas Not For Domestic Use

Contrary to the expectation of Ghanaians, the gas which is to be produced by the West African Gas Pipeline (WAGP) will not be for domestic purposes.

Eighty-five per cent of it would be used, as fuel to generate electricity while about 15 per cent would be for industrial development.

Energy Minister, Mr. Albert Kan-Dapaah, announced this at a seminar for members of the Parliamentary sub-committee on Energy and Mines, at Akuse on Monday.
