Accra, March 22, GNA - The Committee for Joint Action (CJA) on Tuesday described the "Wahala Demonstrations" as a national crusade and called on the Media to join in to force the Government to reduce taxes imposed on petroleum products.
"About 90 per cent of you media practitioners are not comfortable, and would continue to feel the heat as other prices have started moving upward," Mr Ato Ahwoi, a Leading Member of the CJA, stated at a press conference in Accra to outline the group's next line of action.
"Join us now to fight for the ordinary person," he said.
He reiterated the CJA's call for a reduction of the recent 50 per cent increase in the price of petroleum products.
Alhaji Ahmed Ramandan, another Leading Member of the group, said March 31 had been for fixed for "Wahala III" scheduled for Wa and Ho, simultaneously.
He commended the Media, civil society organisations, students, politicians, security agencies and the general public who contributed to and participated in Wahala II in Accra last Thursday.
