Suhum (E/R), March 30, GNA- Isaac Annan, a 34-year-old Leading Fireman of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), who embarked on a national-wide walk to encourage the public to participate in the voters' registration exercise and the general elections in December, reached Suhum on Saturday, to a rousing welcome from a cross-section of the public. He was welcomed by officials of the Suhum/Kraboa/Coaltar District Assembly led by the Deputy Co-ordinating Director, Mr S.W. Ampiam and personnel of the Fire Service.

In a short speech, Annan called on the people to register massively to be able to cast their vote during the December elections. He said the country's young democracy should not be disrupted by any self-seeking politicians. Annan had earlier walked from Accra through Nsawam, Asamankese, Kade, New Abriem, Mpraeso, Donkorkrom and Kibi before getting to Suhum.
