Wanted By Police: Ghc130, 000 fraudster on the run

One Frank Acheampong, a Kumasi based businessman and resident of Kumasi Newtown and Kasoa in the Central Region, has been declared wanted by the Ghana Police Service.

Frank is wanted in connection with him having absconded with an amount of Ghc130,000 belonging to Phinas Pharma Limited, a pharmaceutical company in Accra.

His ‘Wanted’ status was contained in a notice issued by the Ghana Police Service. He is deemed to have escaped arrest some time back and is believed that he is hiding either in New York (Bronx) Virginia or Maryland in the United States of America.

What he does to unsuspecting victims and companies is to present properties to them with the view of long-term lease agreement, he requests for advance of the total sum and absconds with the money, he has succeeded in duping a maximum of ten persons/entities over one property.

He is also wanted by the Ashanti Regional Police Command for two similar offences of defrauding people and absconding to the United States. The U.S. Embassy has already been notified about his modus operandi.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Frank should report to the Ghana Police Service or to the management of Phinas Pharma Limited. The company has also promised a reward for any information leading to the arrest of Frank.
