The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama, has been spotted clearing overgrown weeds at an undisclosed location in the country.
A video shared on X by a user named Popo on Sunday, October 27, 2024, noted, "John Mahama cleared overgrown weeds in the middle belt of the road in front of the new military cemetery. Prioritising the safety and convenience of drivers."
In the viral video, Mahama was captured using a gasoline grass trimmer to clear the weeds, with another person assisting him.
The post highlighted that this gesture reaffirms his commitment to prioritising the safety and well-being of citizens. "JD Mahama again proves his dedication to the people," it stated.
This is not the first time politicians in the country have engaged in community service activities ahead of elections.
Such actions have become a common strategy among candidates seeking to enhance their public image and connect with voters.
