Supporters of the New Patriotic Party in Takoradi, Western Region, are preparing for the party's manifesto launch today, Sunday, August 18, 2024.
The streets of Takoradi are decorated in party colors as preparations for the highly anticipated event continue. Party paraphernalia are on display, with sales booming.
Members and supporters of the party are expected to attend the event in large numbers at the Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS).
As part of its activities, the party organized a health walk on August 17, 2024, which was attended by party members and supporters.
Meanwhile, the Director of Communications for the Bawumia campaign, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, stated in an interview with JoyNews’ AM show on August 16, 2024, that the manifesto will mainly focus on job creation.
“Approximately 90% of the manifesto will focus on jobs and businesses in the private sector,” he said, emphasizing the NPP's dedication to promoting a strong economy driven by private enterprise.
“The manifesto is designed to ensure that the private sector not only thrives but also expands, increases production, and empowers citizens to access the opportunities created,” he explained. “As businesses grow, they will naturally need to hire more people, leading to increased employment.”
