Baba Sadiq, the Member of Parliament-elect for Okaikwei Central, has visited the Alive Chapel International to give thanks to God for his victory in the 2024 elections.
During his visit on Sunday, December 15, 2024, Baba Sadiq expressed gratitude for the prayers and prophetic words spoken over him by the general overseer, Bishop Salifu Amoako.
He said the Bishop had accurately predicted his triumph, as well as the victory of President-elect John Dramani Mahama.
“I am here to thank God for all the prophecies you gave. You said I was going to emerge victorious, just as John Dramani Mahama did,” he stated.
This visit is not Baba Sadiq's first time at Alive Chapel. On December 31, 2024, he worshipped with the congregation during their crossover night service, further emphasising the strong bond he shares with the church.
Bishop Salifu Amoako, in turn, offered heartfelt prayers for Baba Sadiq, asking for God’s guidance and success as he prepares to take office on January 7, 2025.
Baba Sadiq’s victory came after a closely contested race. Early results had pointed to a potential win for Patrick Boamah, but following protests from the NDC, the Electoral Commission (EC) reviewed the numbers.
After the review, Baba Sadiq was officially declared the Member of Parliament-elect.
According to the EC’s returning officer, out of a total of 30,322 votes cast, Baba Sadiq secured 15,383 votes, narrowly defeating NPP's Patrick Boamah, who garnered 14,949 votes.
