The National Women’s Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kate Gyamfua, could not control her tears while Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was reading his concession speech during the 2024 elections.

Standing behind the NPP Flagbearer, she was saddened by the election defeat, which made her cry profusely, using a handkerchief to wipe her tears.

Gyamfua, unable to control her tears, left the dignitaries behind Bawumia to be alone. Most of the NPP executives and bigwigs looked sad while the vice president was reading the concession speech.

The NPP Women’s Organiser was instrumental during the 2024 election campaign, but unfortunately, the party lost the elections.

The vice president officially conceded defeat to his main opponent, John Dramani Mahama, in Ghana’s 2024 Presidential Election.

Dr. Bawumia made the announcement at a press conference on Sunday, December 8, 2024, emphasizing that his decision to concede defeat was motivated by the need to reduce tension and preserve national peace.

He promised that his government would ensure a smooth transition of power to John Mahama and is available to help when the need arises.
