A soldier in uniform and armed has attacked and slapped a Taxi driver while seated behind the wheel In Kumasi, in the Ashanti Region.
A video shared on social media platform X by EDHUB shows the military officer giving the driver a heavy slap through the side window of the vehicle in the middle of the road as the driver quickly sped away.
Even as driver tried to get away from his attacker, the soldier chased after the car in an attempt to inflict more assault on the driver.
It is however not known was forced the soldier to act in the manner he did.
In recent years, there's been several instances of military officers attacking helpless civilians.
In 2001, soldiers stormed the Wa Municipality in the Upper West region and assaulted some residents over a stolen phone.
A footage showed the soldiers, who were stationed in Wa, in their numbers walking the streets and randomly subjecting residents to punishments.
Some residents were seen picking the gutters while being assaulted by the officers in uniform.
The soldiers were livid over a phone which was allegedly stolen from their base Wednesday night.
After the attention of the Military High Command was drawn, the culprit soldiers were punished with some being demoted after investigation was conducted.
