Water problem facing communities in Gomoa West would soon be solved

The Gomoa West District Chief Executive, Mr Theophilus Aidoo-Mensah, has assured the people of the district that the government would soon make the perennial water problem they face a thing of the past when the water treatment plant being constructed at Gomoa Antseadze become operational.

He said the problem had come about because the Agona Kwanyaku Treatment Plant, which serves the area, had been overstretched.

Addressing a meeting at Apam, Mr Aidoo-Mensah said since he took office as DCE, he had made frantic efforts without success, to ensure regular water supply to the communities including replacement of the pipe lines laid since 1971.

He said appealed to all qualified voters to register when the biometric registration exercise starts on March 24 and refuted rumours that the biometric machine would make them to contract cancer.

Mr Isaac Quansah, Apam Ward Co-ordinator of NDC, urged supporters to be extra vigilant during the registration exercise and on the voting day to prevent cheating.
