The General Overseer of God’s Crown Chapel, Prophet Reindolph Oduro Gyebi, who predicted the Kintampo Waterfall tragedy a week ahead, says God would hold accountable those who ignored the “caution prophecy” he had made public.

According to him, since there are consequences for ignoring prophecies and prophets, “it is better for people to believe and live than to doubt and die,” asserting that he is not in the business of prophecy for money or fame but to do God’s will.

Twenty revellers, mostly students, were killed and several others injured after a big tree on top of the Kintampo Waterfall fell on them following a heavy rainstorm that hit that part of the country Sunday afternoon.

The victims – mostly students of Wenchi Senior High School, Wenchi Methodist High School and University of Energy and Natural Resources – according to reports, had gone to the tourist site located on the Pumpum River, on an excursion to swim and make-merry when the tragedy struck.

Prophet Reindolph Oduro Gyebi last Monday on Abusua Fm, a Kumasi-based radio station, predicted the mishap when he said God had revealed to him an intended excursion by a group of students to Kintampo.

That was during a prayer session on his programme dubbed, ‘Eagle Hour’ on the radio station at about 11:30 pm.

He warned the organisers and the school authorities concerned to cancel the trip and reschedule it.

Not long afterwards, the prophecy made by the relatively unknown prophet came to pass and a video footage of the prophecy began to circulate on social media a day after the incident.

The prophet told DAILY GUIDE in an interview yesterday that God revealed the tragedy to him when he saw dead bodies of school-children in a vision during the prayer session and shared the information on air for the message to be carried to the organisers.

According to him, he sensed in the spirit that a member of the organisers of the intended excursion to the Kintampo Waterfall was listening to him when the prophecy was being told.

“It was a direct message to be carried to the organisers to cancel the trip and I was explicit on that, but it was ignored and probably bastardised as spurious,” the man of God, popularly known as Eagle Prophet, declared.

Prophet Gyebi said Ghanaians need to heed the voice of God through His prophets and act accordingly on messages given to them.

He told the paper that he had not been of himself since news broke on the disaster because God, through him, foretold and warned about it, but it was dismissed.

Having been in the prophetic ministry for 15 years, the God’s Crown Chapel General Overseer stated that people ought to be obedient since “we know not the time of disaster visitation.”

Prediction

The Kumasi-based man of God had sternly warned any school which intends going on excursion at Kintampo to stop because the students would die if they embark on such a trip.

In the short video, which is also on YouTube, Prophet Gyebi, stated that he doesn’t take delight in making prophecies about doom.

“I am warning the school to cancel the Kintampo trip. If they dare go all the school children would die,” Eagle Prophet warned.

He also charged the school authorities to, with immediate effect, return monies that they had taken from the students for the intended trip.

Burning Of Coffin

The Eagle Prophet caused a stir during a watch-night service in his church recently when he burnt a coffin before his congregation.

He explained that the spirit of death would be moving around the country with a coffin to kill people, and so the burning of the coffin was to stop the spirit of death.
