Wayo Claims Punched By Tsikata

Renowned senior lawyer Mr. Fui Tsikata, a member of the noted Tsikata family last Friday lost his cool and let fly a punch to the face of presidential aspirant Chuck Kofi Wayo, shattering his glasses in the process, but drawing the full force of Ghana's Police Force.

The grey Fui, who has retired from the faculty of Law where he has been a senior lecturer for several years, was whisked off to the Airport Police station and ended up at the police behind the counter where he had his statement taken as well as that of the complainant Kofi Wayo.

Surprisingly, it was Mr. Stomata who was captured as the aggressor and not the usually acid tongued Kofi Way.

'I did not hit him back; he is an old man I only restrained him from continuing to punch me' said Kofi Wayo when interviewed by The Chronicle hours after the incident.

He claimed that Mr. Tsikata accused him that it is 'scum like you brought the NPP to power ', but according to police sources, Mr. Tsikata denied making statements like that and said it was Kofi Wayo who rather insulted him.

Wayo however confirmed telling Fui that he does not particularly like his brother Tsatsu Tsiakata.

He said he would not press charge as many well wishers had called him to let the matter end. Mr. Fui refused to comment when contacted by Chronicle.
