‘We Will Not Abandon Projects’ Npp Chairman Declares.

Mr Dwamena Yeboah, National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) in Germany has assured Ghanaians that an NPP government under Nana Akuffo Addo will not abandon viable projects but rather ensure their completion for the benefit of Ghanaians irrespective of which party or government initiated them.
Mr Yeboah made these comment in a radio programme’The NPP Hour’ hosted by TopAfric Radio based in Hamburg.
According to him, the NPP has always been guided by the need to put the national interest first and above party considerations adding that the NPP had and will always put people before party and progress before politics. He described the decision by the Mills-Mahama administration to abandon several projects initiated by the NPP government as callous, misguided , a betrayal of trust and an abuse of the mandate given to them by Ghanaians.
Mr Yeboah, who is also a founding member of the party asserted that the eight-year rule of the NPP under President Kuffour saw unparallel infrastructural development across the country. Some of the land mark projects include the Bui Dam,Accra-Kumasi Road, Accra-Aburi Road, Hospitals, Housing Estates and several school buildings. In addition to these, various social intervention programmes such as the National Health Insurance Scheme, the National Youth Employment Programme, the School Feeding Programme,Free Maternal Care Programme and the Poverty Alleviation Programme to mention but a few were put in place. He insisted that rather than building upon these remarkable achievements of the NPP government, the Mills-Mahama administration is more interested in negative propaganda and the peddling of falsehood just to discredit the immediate past government. Fortunately Ghanaians have realised that the politics of deception will not work this time and advised the government to concentrate on the business of finding solutions to the challenges facing the country to justify the mandate given them by Ghanaians.
The Chairman pointed out that the NDC Propaganda(falsehood) machinery is making a desperate but deliberate attempt to divert attention from the real and substantive issues by attacking personalities and said such conduct is indicative of a government that has lost focus and direction.
Mr Yeboah expressed concern about the massive corruption that has engulfed government Ministers as well as party officials starting from Maybey and Johnson and challenged Ama Benyiwaa Doe, Ofuso Ampofo, Hanah Bisiw and Johnson Asiedu Nketia to come out and explain to Ghanaians how they can afford to put up mansions within the short period that they have been in government.
Asked to comment on the Dagbon issue, Mr Yeboah said such a tragic incident in our history should not be politicised and said statements by Mr Rawlings are irresponsible in view of the volatility of the situation and questioned why Mr Rawlings did not assist the prosecution with the information he claims to have.
