Tema, Sept. 13, GNA- Ms Joyce Aryee, Chairman of Ghana Chamber of Mines, on Saturday said many Ghanaians are guilty of indiscipline, because they fail to point out wrongdoings in society.
The filth we see in our surroundings and the chocked gutters that bring diseases are clear manifestation of indiscipline that we are guilty of. Ms Joyce Aryee, was addressing a conference of Anglican Women's Fellowship of Ghana (AWFG), Accra Diocese, in Tema.
The conference has the theme "let us rise up and build".
She criticised women who leave their offices during working hours for their private errands and advised them to do away with such behaviour. Ms Aryee told members of the fellowship to be God-fearing in the wake of criticism and advised that prayers should be the spiritual air that Christians must breath.
Rev. Cannon Daniel Tortoe, of St. Francis Anglican Church, Accra, said society is changing and as Christians, there is the need for them to change for the better.
He noted that the change has taken a step forward by involving women in church management.
Mr Samuel Evans Ashong Narh, Tema Municipal Chief Executive said the assembly will not take kindly to churches that make excessive noise to disturb public peace.
He said the assembly will apply the law on public nuisance to the letter and advised those who abuse it to desist from that practice. 13 Sept. 03
