Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has warned government appointees who are being lackadaisical about the New Patriotic Party’s campaign ahead of the 2024 elections.

According to him, all appointees who do not prove themselves and the positions they have enjoyed since being in power will have him to contend with after the elections.

He noted that even Kennedy Agyapong and others who contested Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia are on the ground campaigning.

Therefore, appointees do not have any excuse whatsoever not to get down from their high horses and campaign to keep the party in power.

“If you supported Dr. Bawumia during the primaries, you have not done anything. He wants to be president, and that is what you should support him to achieve. Kennedy Agyapong, who contested him, is campaigning and working to ensure that we win. They have had to prove themselves that they are party members.

In 2016, we won the elections, so if you are an appointee and you don’t prove yourself, we will come after you. Prove yourself. We don’t speak English, but if you campaign well, everyone will know. Bawumia doesn’t have to say he is campaigning, Samira Bawumia doesn’t have to say she is campaigning, everyone will know,” he said.
