General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah

General Secretary of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has called on the the 'disorganized' opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to focus their attention on telling Ghanaians what they intend doing when voted into office and stop wasting their time on pressers over President Mahama's Accounting to The People's Tour.

The chief scribe of the umbrella family said, the NPP is dazzled at the massive achievements of President Mahama and for fear of losing the elections, they just want to accuse the President of embarking on a campaign and abusing his incumbency.

Johnson Asiedu posited that, the elephant family are astonished and are finding it difficult to diffuse the truth that has emerged from President Mahama's Accounting to the People's tour.

Speaking in an interview with Kwame Tutu on frontline on Rainbow Radio, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah said, the NDC will not stop the tour because the NPP is dazzled-and they will continue to do it to confuse the NPP the more.

He said, "The posture of the NPP has shown clearly that ,they lack ideas and a campaign message to convince Ghanaians to vote for them in the upcoming general elections. So, they just want to feed lies to Ghanaians; but we will continue to expose them."

The NPP has chided President Mahama for abusing his incumbency, campaigning through his 'Accounting to the People' tour when he is supposed to account to Ghanaians on his stewardship.

The opposition party also made claims that, President Mahama's evidence based projects do not exist.

However, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah explained the tour has exposed the lies of the NPP, and has further shown clearly that NDC is focused, dedicated and committed to transforming lives and changing Ghana.

Johnson Asiedu Nketiah said, the NPP has failed to marshal forces to argue their claims sufficiently adding, "The NPP is completely disorganised and their allegation that President Mahama is embarking on a campaign is completely irrelevant."

The former legislator called on Ghanaians disregard what the NPP is doing, because they (NPP) cannot be trusted to run the affairs of the state.

"President Mahama is exposing their (NPP's) insincerity after their presidential and vice presidential candidates embarked on their regional tour to accuse the Mahama led administration of mismanagement and incompetence. They lied to Ghanaians that Mahama has not done anything over the last three years, but the tour is exposing their lies and we will continue to embark on the tour..Give it any name you want to, and waste your time calling it a campaign, that will not stop us from embarking on the tour," Mr. Asiedu Nketiah said.
