The Progressive Peoples’ Party (PPP) has promised the people of Ashanti Region that they will work to end the unemployment menace in the region if given the nod come December 7, 2016.
In a speech read by the Manhyia North parliamentary candidate, Abena Amponsah Biritwum, at the regional Party office Saturday [November 5, 2016], the PPP said it is poised for action if given the nod by the electorates.
“We are gathered in here to inform and educate the good people of Asanteman, that it is time we took our destiny into our own hands as a people and as a region and got rid of the NDC who are championing one million votes without any tangible and worthwhile project that has benefited the people in the region, with artistic impression of projects in Ashanti region which to some extent some does not exist and the NPP touts the region as their Florida targeting 80% after some of their parliamentary candidates have failed to push for development in their various constituencies.”
According to Ms Biritwum, the PPP has “unveiled a chain of campaign activities and development agenda focusing on human development and progressive leadership to generate job opportunities and tackle the protracted unemployment menace in Ashanti region.”
Touting the achievements of their flag bearer, the Manhyia North PC indicated that Dr. Nduom was the only hope of salvaging the country from sinking.
“We can boast of financial companies, hospitality industries, Estate companies, radio and television companies etc.., Our country is at the threshold of a new era, an era that beckons for a new kind of leadership, a leadership that is uncontaminated by the prejudices of the past, a leadership committed to change and ready to solve the everyday problems that confront the average Ghanaian.”
She urged the electorates to vote for the PPP for peace, unity and the progress of Asanteman.
