We need to plant more trees to control climate change - Climate change Ambassador

Ibrahim Wasiu Hamid Climate change Ambassador for Plant for planet Ghana has urged Ghanaian to inculcate the habit of planting more tree in the country due to climate change.

According to him, the planting of trees will control climate by moderating the effects of the sun, rain and wind.

Speaking at an event the Cordinator said “we have to develop the habit of planting trees to reduce the effects of climate change especially in a developing country like Ghana” he said
“We can reduce the rate of poverty when we adopt the right measures in ensuring that we reduce the Gass companies and industries omit in the system” he added

The Plant-For-The-Planet Initiative is a non-governmental organization that seeks to promote climate justice advocacy by engaging students to take action against global challenges of climate crisis, poverty eradication and environmental degradation.

Over 5000 students have been made climate justice ambassadors to enable them pass on their knowledge and also encourage other children to take on social responsibility and shape their future.

The organization has also planted close to 2500 trees in both the Upper East and Northern Regions of Ghana and was supported by the Billion Tree Campaign by UNEP.
