A spokesperson for the campaign team of National Democratic Congress (NDC) Flagbearer John Dramani Mahama, Beatrice Annan, has indicated that her party is poised to take over the governance of Ghana come January 7, 2025.

According to her, the NDC is currently not only campaigning to win the December 7, 2024, general election, but is also putting measures in place to ensure that it will hit the ground running after winning.

She disclosed that a series of meetings have been held to that effect, adding that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) is going to be shocked come December 7, myjoyonline.com reports.

“Fitch, EIU, Global InfoAnalytics and all international polls are showing that the NDC is forming the next government. We are not just campaigning, we are also putting in place structures to govern this country and some of these inform why we said we would appoint our ministers within 14 days of being in office. We are prepared and we will hit the ground running.

“The flagbearer is in Accra. We had a series of meetings, some of which I cannot speak to in the public domain, but I can tell you that the NDC is more focused. Our strategy is not what the NPP thinks it is, we will take them by surprise,” she is quoted as having said.
