Onasis Kobby, a former executive of the Ashanti Regional branch of the National Democratic Congress, has congratulated the Minister for Minister-designate for Energy , John Jinapor.

On Thursday, President John Mahama announced the nomination of a Minister of Finance Designate, a Minister of Energy Designate, and the Attorney General and Minister of Justice Designate.

The Minister of Energy-designate is the Member of Parliament for Yapei-Kusawgu, John Abdulai Jinapor.

In a social media post, Onasis Kobby commended John Jinapor for his nomination and assured him of his utmost support.

He expressed conviction that Ghana’s energy sector will witness an upturn in fortunes under John Jinapor.

"John Abdulai Jinapor, congratulations on your nomination as Minister of Energy-designate. You are assured of maximum support for greater success within the extractive industry.

"The industry has been suffocated and stagnated for 8 wasteful years except for procurements to the benefit of a few. We are ready to help,” he shared on his Facebook page.
