Aggrieved customers of Gold Coast Fund Management have vowed not to leave the Jubilee House until they meet President Akufo-Addo.

This was after the group met heavy security presence at the seat of government when they arrived to present their petition to authorities.

Even though Minister of State at the Office of the President, Dr. Kweku Afriyie, was present to receive their petition, the group refused to hand it over.

Public Relations Officer of the aggrieved customers insisted they are ready to sleep at the presidency till they are allowed to meet President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, stating that they will only settle for Vice President Bawumia.

“Why is it that we Ghanaians now want to speak to the president and the president is sending people to speak to us. If the president is out of the region, the vice president is around and he is having the constitutional instrument to become the president in the absence of the president,” one of the protestors told the media.

According to them, the president was aware of their demonstration today and expected him to assign the vice president to receive the petition if he wasn’t going to be around.

The group said various petitions they have presented to third parties in the president’s stead hasn’t seen the light of day, hence their decision to hand today’s petition to either the president or his vice.
