We will not shield police officers who misconduct themselves - IGP

The Inspector General of Police, David Asante-Appeatu has noted that his desire is to help the Ghana Police Service to be ranked among the best top ten police in the world.

He was speaking at Aworowa in the Techiman Municipality of the Brong Ahafo Region as part of his three –day working tour of the region.

IGP David Asante-Appeatu working tour of the Brong Ahafo Region was the first to the region since he assumed office at the IGP it was to familiarize himself with working conditions in the region.

The IGP David Asante-Appeatu as part of his three-day working tour of the Brong Ahafo Region commissioned a new Police Station for Aworowa community in the Techiman Municipality.

He indicated that the desire of the Ghana Police Service is to be ranked among the top police organizations in the world.

He disclosed that the Regional Police Command would not engage in any form of unprofessionalism.

Chief of Aworowa, Nana Yeboah Kokwa III speaking at the commissioning of the Police Station was grateful to the IGP and appealed to him to ensure the station is developed into a district status before he leaves office as the IGP.

The IGP was accompanied by the Brong Ahafo Regional Police Commander, DCOP Techie- Poku, the Regional Minister Kwaku Asomah- Cheremeh and a host of other top dignitaries in the region.
