The Meteorological Service Department on Wednesday announced that the weather would be mainly cloudy with rain showers or thunderstorms over the northern half of the country. There would be sunny intervals but relatively cool tonight over the southern half especially over the coastal sector.

Maximum an minimum temperatures between 0600 hours on Wednesday and 0600 hours on Thursday were given as:

Coastal areas, between 30 and 23 degrees Celsius;

Forest and mountainous areas, between 31 and 22 degrees Celsius

Northern Ghana, between 32 and 23 degrees Celsius.
