The weather will be fairly cloudy and sunny over southern Ghana - Meteo

The Meteorological Services Department on Monday announced that a temporarily stable atmosphere had been established over the southern sector of the country after the passage of a series of storms over these areas during the past 48 hours. Therefore, it would be fairly cloudy and sunny over the southern half of the country with chances of few showers over the high grounds of Eastern, Ashanti, the Volta and the inland areas of Western and Central regions in the afternoon. Parts of the coastal belt would also be affected, especially the west coast.

Misty and foggy atmosphere with a significant reduction in visibility is expected over the sheltered areas in the morning. The Northern sector would remain dry and hot during the period. There would also be an improvement in the harmattan conditions over the Northern sector.

Maximum and minimum temperatures between 0600 hours on Monday and 0600 on Tuesday were given as: coastal areas, between 33 and 26 degrees Celsius, forest and mountainous areas, between 33 and 22 degrees Celsius and Northern Ghana, between 40 and 24 degrees Celsius. 01 March 04
