Weather is out of control - Meteo

The Meteorological Service Department (MSD) is finding it difficult to tell when the southern sector of the country will start experiencing the harmattan which comes normally at this time of the year. It says the current weather is normal between March and April but is abnormal for this time.

The last itme the South experienced this was 22 years ago when it rained up to December. The situation caused the harmattan to begin in January. Mr Ato Wilson, Principal Meteorologist in an interview with the "Times" said the harmattan was being experienced in the Northern sector of the country but had been delayed due to the influence of 'El Nino' in the West Indian Ocean off the coast of Somalia.
