Wenchi (B/A), Sept. 21, GNA - Mrs. Elizabeth Oba, Jaman North District Chief Executive has cautioned the youth to be careful about their lifestyles, as any negative attitudes and practices at such period would affect their future lives.
Mrs. Oba was addressing members of the Wenchi-Kookoase Fun Club at a get-to-gether, organised in honour of her son, Mr John Agyemang-Fordjour to bid him farewell after his one year National Service at the Wenchi Methodist Secondary School. Mr Agyemag-Fordjour lived with the youth of Kookoase, while serving as National Service personnel.
Mrs. Oba emphasized that every one's future life depends on the person's behaviour during adolescent age and advised the youth to avoid bad peer groups, who would drag them into troubles. She advised them against illicit sexual relationships and drunkenness, as that could lead them into contracting the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
She was grateful to the members of the Kookoase Fun Club, for showing great love to her son and organizing the party in appreciation of his relationship with them in the area. Mr Kafari Elias, an English tutor at the Wenchi Secondary School described Mr Agyemang-Fordjour as a very hardworking man, who perfectly handled his subject and ensured that his students also performed well in the subject.
Mr Kwadwo Poku, Chairman of the club commended Mr Agyemang-Forjour for voluntary offering extra classes for the students in the area, whenever they closed from school.
He, therefore, called on other National Service personnel to emulate such shinning examples of Mr Agyemang-Fordjour and to establish good names and testimonies for themselves.
Mr Agyemang-Fordjour thanked his colleagues and friends for expressing their love to him and stressed that they should remain united to strengthen the club.
