A leading member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has slated former Chief Executive of the Volta River Authority (VRA) and a founding member of the party, Dr. Wereko Brobbey, accusing him of being a “stomach” politician who is only interested in the “small chops” his paymasters will give him.
Dr. Wereko Brobbey dropped a political bombshell when he warned Ghanaians not to trust the 2012 Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo Addo, his running-mate, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia and the National Chairman, Jake Obetsebi Lamptey when they talk about peace.
In an interview with Okay FM, the suspended NPP member stated that the petitioners of the 2012 presidential elections had no love for peace and were rather preparing their supporters for war.
But in a sharp rebuttal, Nana Obiri Boahene accused the former Ghana@50 Secretariat boss of having recently found his voice on the airwaves because of his egotistical personality.
The one-time Minister of State in charge of Interior under the Kufour administration, observed that, unlike the “self-made” petitioners challenging the 2012 presidential elections, Dr. Wereko relies on what his paymasters feed him with.
“When it comes to politicians with decent characters, Wereko-Brobbey pales in sharp contrast with the petitioners,” he said on Okay FM.
Nana Obiri Boahene continued “…we all know politicians in this country who turned their backs on their mother party to form theirs for the sake of their stomach…He (Wereko-Brobbey) is the kind of politician who goes around thinking about he stands to gain instead of the good of others”.
