Ghana body building and Fitness association inaugurated the western regional branch of the association at Essipong sports stadium in Takoradi.
The Takoradi branch is the first official inauguration of a regional branch by the GBFA which was supervised by the NSA regional director Mr Jeffrey Owusu saw Mr Philip Ampofo as their first Chairman of the association.
On his part the President of Ghana body building and Fitness association Mr Abdul Hayy Yartey tasked the new executives to work in unity in order to uplift the image of the association in the region as well as working hard to generate internal funds to support their activities.
Mr Yartey also said GBFA is planning to cover the whole nation by two years’ time.
The new regional chairman Mr Philip Ampofo thanked the mother body for the support and promised to work hard with his executives to meet the target and produce quality athletes for Mother Ghana.
The inauguration took place at the Essipong Sports Stadium, Takoradi and it was supervised by NSA Regional Director Mr Jeffrey Owusu, the Association President Mr Abdul Hayy Yartey, the Vice Mr Samuel Agyei, Secretary General Mr Charles Amofah and a communication team member Clement Osei Aboagye`
