Expectations are high as Ghanaians look forward to experiencing tremendous “change” in Ghana’s state of affairs following the declaration of a newly elected President by the Electoral Commission.
After a fierce battle for the presidential seat by all seven candidates in the December 7 elections, NPP Flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo emerged winner with 5,716,026 votes.
Many Ghanaians expressed disappointment and displeasure at the poor state of the economy and the loads of unfulfilled promises under the Mahama-led government.
The tables have turned as his opponent, Nana Akufo-Addo has now been given the mandate to lead the country.
With the numerous promises made by the NPP Flagbearer in his manifesto, the hopes of many have been elevated as they look forward to seeing the initiation and implementation of policies like the “one-district-one-factory”, “one-village-one-dam”, “free senior high school” and “one university in every region”.
