During the 31st Watch Night service of the Lighthouse Chapel International, East Legon congregation, they celebrated what they described as a "historic" visit by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
The Vice President was accompanied by his wife, Samira, and other officials.
Led by General Overseer Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, the congregation gave Dr. Bawumia a warm reception, greeting him with rapturous applause and wild cheers.
Bishop Heward-Mills expressed his excitement, stating that Dr. Bawumia's presence marked the first time such a high-profile personality had visited the congregation.
"I am happy to announce the presence of the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and his wife," Bishop Dag Heward-Mills said.
"I am so happy because this is the first time we are having a President or Vice President. What a blessing," he added.
Dr. Bawumia later wished the congregation a blessed New Year and thanked God for how far He has brought Ghana.
