Franklin Cudjoe, founding president and CEO of Imani Africa has given high marks to Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang for her April 24, 2024 speech in Accra.
Cudjoe described the speech, which was delivered at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) as presidential and uplifting.
The event in question was the formal announcement of the former education minister as running mate to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer for the 2024 presidential elections, John Dramani Mahama.
"What a speech! Presidential and uplifting!" Cudjoe posted on Facebook hours after the speech, he added: "Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang says she will never consider herself a "driver's mate". Interesting days ahead."
The well-attended event was graced by NDC big wigs including Mahama himself and the party's National Chairman and General Secretary plus scores of Members of Parliament.
Naana Jane, as widely expected, was named Mahama's running mate for the upcoming polls months ago, meaning she is partnering the former president for the second consecutive time after their 2020 bid failed.
In her speech, she addressed the NDC faithful relative to the need to do all it took to wrestle power from the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
She took considerable time to make politically provocative statements targeting the government's mismanagement of affairs since 2017.
