The former Executive Director and Founder of Danquah Institute, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko has urged the editor of Ghanaians Times to feel free to join NDC pro media outlets like the ‘Informer’ if that’s where his heart is.

In a Facebook post, the journalist cum lawyer stated that the editor of the Ghanaian Times has in recent times been publishing stories which were unhealthy for its readers.

“I see an unhealthy trend with the Times now. I struggle to get what motivates the editor,” he wrote.

Mr. Otchere-Darko was of the view that, the editor of the Ghanaian Times, David Agbenu who was appointed into office by the NDC government in 2012 should feel free to make known his political affiliation as the ‘Informer’ has done rather than hide his intention whilst publishing what he describes as ‘unhealthy’ stories for readers.

“Take today’s (Wednesday, April 11, 2018) front page. The petroleum revenues probed were all before 2017. So why is the paper so eager to lie to its readers by saying it was last year? He is free to join the Informer if that’s where his heart belongs”.

Major principles of journalism are accuracy, objectiveness and reporting stories without biases and former Executive Director of the Danquah Institute thinks the editor of Ghanaian Times is not adhering to such principles.
