The Member of Parliament for Builsa South Dr. Clement Apaak is questioning if it is advisable for anyone to incite others to harm any person.
He is also questioning if it was advisable for the Member of Parliament Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, to blow the cover of late investigative journalist Ahmed Hussein-Suale.
Reacting to the gruesome murder of the investigative journalist who worked on the Number 12 video, the legislator questioned why the maverick politician was not called to order after he incited people against the late journalist whose death has gained international attention.
The MP had called on Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to call Mr Agyapong to order after he described the work of Anas as relevant.
The second gentleman after the Anas video was released called on corrupt people to be guided that their activities may soon be exposed. "What Anas is doing is very relevant. People should know that what they do in the dark can be exposed,” he said, adding “Really, I would encourage him to continue doing what he does,’’ he said.
But Dr. Apaak challenged the vice president to call Mr. Agyapong to order over his constant attacks on Anas.
Recounting his call, the MP wrote the post below:
Folks, is it acceptable for anyone to advocate and incite others to harm another person?
Is it acceptable to splash the photos of another person on TV, castigate him and offer to reward anyone who harms him?
And what precipitated this conduct and pronouncements by Ken Agyapong against Ahmed and Tiger Eye PI? #12.
Did the NPP party; its leadership in parliament or the NADAA government ask Ken to stop his attacks on Tiger EYE PI? No.
I had reason to call on the Veep to intervene by calling Ken to order after his flowery comments on the fantastic work of Tiger EYE PI as captured in the promo for #12 (see https://mobile.ghanaweb.com/…/Call-Ken-Agyapong-to-order-if…). Still no one in the NPP had the boldness to ask him to let Tiger EYE be.
Now, a man who has devoted himself to fighting corruption in Ghana and beyond has been killed, a deadly blow to his family, our nation, and our humanity.
And I must note here that as a former member of the National Media Commission (NMC), I vehemently disagree with the Chair of the NMC, when he says Ken did nothing wrong by splashing the picture of Ahmed on his Net2TV.
