The most controversial, political document constantly gaining momentum among Ghanaians, titled ‘Agyapadie,’ has taken over Ghana trends on X.

This comes on the back of remarks made by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo during a summit by The Ghana Report on the theme ‘Dealing With Misinformation And Disinformation – Election 2024,’ at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra.

Addressing widespread claims that the 38-page Agyapadie document is a master plan of the Akyem faction within the ruling New Patriotic Party, President Akufo-Addo stated that the document was a fabrication by his political opponents aiming to gain political advantage.

President Akufo-Addo emphasized that the contents outlined in the document are falsehoods, while advocating for Ghanaians to remain vigilant in this crucial election period.

“Today, with a few months to the December 2024 election, they are at it again. A fabricated document entitled Agyapadie is being puzzled around by operatives of the opposition, as evidence of a grand scheme by my party to annex the state - the assets of the state,” he said.

Akufo-Addo’s comments have sparked massive debates from notable Ghanaian personalities on X as well as ordinary citizen.

Trending at number one, netizens say it is hard to disregard the content of the document.

Others are of the view that the president should not have addressed the subject of the Agyapadie document.
