The State and defence counsels are expected to argue their cases before the Fast Track High Court in the trial of Johnson Kombian, a businessman for the death of two policemen.

The trial judge Mr Justice Mustapha Habib Logoh has therefore adjourned the matter to July 13, for parties to address the court in turns.

Mrs Marina Appiah Opare, a Senior Attorney represented the state while Mr George Asamaney represented Kombian.

Kombian, who was in Court had called a witness to make his case while the prosecution had closed its case after calling six witnesses.

Kombian and his accomplices, who are currently on the run, are alleged to have ambushed three policemen and killed two of them on October 10, 2010 in the Norther Region.

The victims were Constables Prince Agyare and Owusu Frimpong.

Kombian, currently on remand, has denied before a seven-member jury, the charge of conspiracy, and two counts of killing the two police officers.
