It is no news that the NDC lost in the just ended election and that they were beaten by about a million vote margin.

The aftermath of the election has however been characterised by numerous analysis on the shock defeat suffered by the NDC as a sitting government.

Ace Ankomah, a legal practitioner, is the latest person to add his voice to the ongoing post election analysis. While on JoyNews' current affairs program Newsfile, he elaborated some of the reasons he felt led to the downfall of the NDC in the just ended election.

According to Ace, social media was the number one contributor to NDC's loss in the election saying the underestimated the effects of social media. He explained that although the party had the social media presence, their messages were not too concrete and conveyed no feelings to convince Ghanaians.

He also reiterated that the NDC government did not do enough to provoke Ghanaians to give them a third term. ''History of the fourth Republic is eight years'', he said. So, for the NDC to have won the elections, Ghanaians needed to be convinced they had done enough to break the status-quo.

Ace also indicated that the NDC's inability or refusal to address corruption issues was also a cause for their loss citing the Woyome corruption case as an example.
