William Dowokpor for Parliament 2012.

Dear

Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituent,

This is your special invitation to support the William Dowokpor for Parliament 2012 Campaign. I am going to Parliament to provide a strong voice to those who live and wish to continue to live and, or work in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, comprising; Dzorwulu, North Dzorwulu, Abelenkpe, Airport Roman Ridge, East Legon, West Legon, University of Ghana (Legon), GIMPA, Shiashi, Okponglo, Mempehuasem and surrounding areas.

We are on the verge of something special; to win and get residents involved in the governance of the constituency for the first time. Feedback from ongoing door to door personal contact with residents indicates we are closer than ever to making it happen; but I need your help to guarantee it happens.

I come as the “referendum” MP who will involve you in the decisions and contributions I will make in parliament. We need to get it right this year in Ayawaso West Wuogon, or the next four years will continue to be frustrating for all of us. Last year, views were collected on portions of the 1992 constitution that Ghanaians felt should be reviewed. Sadly, views of the youth in our constituency (including students of the University of Ghana and GIMPA, two big academic institutions in the constituency) were left out because there is no culture of consultation in the constituency. As MP, I will introduce and maintain the culture of consultation with you to make our multi-party representative democracy meaningful.

My campaign is based on the issues of: Reliability in Utility and Public Services, Facilitating Jobs for the Youth, Free Continuous Compulsory Education for all, up to Senior High, Security to Life and Property and Involving Constituents (you) in Constituency Governance.

I believe these issues are of mutual interest to us. To succeed, I need your help to nurture and maintain all 83 polling station structures in the constituency to keep my positive message in the minds of voters. If you are interested in helping out as an Organizer or supporter, please send me a mail at (billdowokpor@hotmail.com).

You need to register as a voter in the ongoing registration exercise which ends on the 5th of May, 2012. You can only help me to win, if you register as a voter. Remember, your vote is your power and with our powers combined, our constituency can only get better! Please forward this message to at least five residents you know in Ayawaso West Wuogon and encourage them to vote for me. I look forward to reading your mail or seeing you soon in your neighborhood or campus.

Stay Blessed!

William Dowokpor
