Wives of African leaders have bad attitudes - Allotey Jacobs

Allotey Jacobs has stated emphatically that the character of the wives of African leaders are very bad.

He said this while commenting on latest developments in Zimbabwe.

93-year old Robert Mugabe resigned on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 as President of Zimbabwe.

He announced his resignation in a letter submitted to Parliament after ruling the country for 37 years.

His resignation indeed wouldn't have been possible but for the intervention of the military and a joint agreement between his party, Zanu-PF, and opposition parties to impeach him if he continued to hold on to power.

Robert Mugabe's sudden exit from government is reportedly hinged on the misbehavior of his wife, Grace Mugabe, who is accused of influencing her husband to expel Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa from power to clear the way for her own succession.

In Robert Mugabe's rap sheet to Parliament of Zimbabwe, he and his wife were accused of serious misconduct, violations of the constitution and an inability to perform the functions of Office because of physical or mental incapacity.

Commenting on Mugabe's resignation, Allotey Jacobs shared an opinion that the wife is the cause of his downfall.

He, however, likened the character of Grace Mugabe to most of other African leaders and came to a conclusion on Peace FM's Kokrokoo that "wives of African leaders have bad character".

He later withdrew his statement and likened the behaviour to some of the wives of African leaders.
