Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Sarah Aggrey Acquah told the court presided over by Mr Charles Asiedu that on July 7 this year, the accused, who is a girlfriend of the complainant's would be husband, went to the victim's house in the night to see her (victim) husband. She said the complainant confronted the accused for coming to see her husband at that hour, and this resulted in trading of insults between the two.

Inspector Acquah said, the accused pounced on the complainant, beat her up and inflicted blade wounds on her face. She also started to bleed that led to the termination of her pregnancy. The complainant then reported the matter to her mother in law and later to the police, who issued her with a medical form to attend hospital.
