The Tema White House Community Tribunal on Friday sentenced a petty trader who led a group of 'Machomen' to assault her boy friend to three months imprisonment with hard labour.
Hornam Kpatu who pleaded not guilty was also fined 500,000 cedis, which the court directed should be given to Godfred Duah, the victim if paid.
She would go to jail for another six months in default.
The tribunal chaired by Oseadeeyo Nana Agyeman Badu II heard that on December 6, 1999, Duah visited Kpatu at Ashaiman and met another man with her.
Duah became infuriated and wanted to beat Kpatu but was prevented by onlookers. He however, took away her bag.
The Prosecution said at about 10 p.m. the same day, Kpatu led a group of 'Machomen' to assault Duah at Aswensu, a suburb of Ashaiman.
They sent him to the bush and wanted to "finish him" but one of them pleaded for him.
The prosecution said Duah reported the matter to the police and when Kpatu was arrested she refused to identify the group that attacked Duah.
