Women urged to spend prudently

The Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Cynthia Morrison has entreated women to make judicious use of their resources to enable them to cut cost in pursuing their dreams.

She urged them to be focused to achieve their dreams.

Mrs Morrison said this at the official launch of this year’s Obaapa Summit in Accra.

The Obaasima Summit is an annual programme for empowering women to take up more leadership roles in their communities. It seeks to encourage women to develop their capacities to create a more inclusive society.

It brought together young adults of diverse background to participate in seminars and panel discussions based on personal topics of professional development, capacity building and financial entrepreneurship.

Speaking at this year’s (2019) launch, the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Cynthia Morrison, urged women to be prudent in the use of their wealth and asked them to be focused and work to achieve their dreams.

Resource persons including spokesperson for former President John Mahama, Joyce Bawa Mogtari and the former Minister of Education, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang shared their experiences.

The summit was organised by MAP LEADERSHIP on the theme “Empowered for Continuity”.
