Ghanaians on social media have aired their frustration with the recent power outages experienced in certain parts of the country.
Most parts of Accra, Madina, Koforidua and Cape Coast have been experiencing intermittent power supply in the last couple of weeks.
This has sparked concerns of a possible return to days of rationed power supply, popularly referred to as “dumsor”.
Following another blackout on Wednesday evening, most Ghanaians took to social media to slam Power Distribution Services Ghana (PDS).
The PDS is currently in charge of Ghana’s electricity distribution sector, having taken over from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) last month.
Below are sampled tweets from some frustrated Ghanaians on the power situation:
PDS strikes again.

1)Most Ghanaians up to today, don't even know ECG was sold. The politicians quietly buried the news so that most Ghanaians won't know.

Why would you sell a valuable company like ECG without giving Ghanaians any reasonable explanations.
Now, I'll go briefly on the company...
Is it the government of Ghana or the private company? We need ANSWERS
— Tkay???????????????????????????????????? (@SaviourTkay) March 13, 2019
Now let's look at the history of the company.
PDS.
Has the government thoroughly vetted this company?
Are Ghanaians going to pay more for power with low quality ?
How did government choose this company? pic.twitter.com/fpZg8RMfl3
