Woyome Case Under Investigation - Agbesi Nutsu

Radio talk show organized last Monday, 9th January 2012 sparked off intensive "one on one" debate on Sankofa Radio - a city Radio station based in Stuttgart, Germany. The program was hosted by Kwesi Owusu, a political program moderator of the station with his Guest, Mr. Agbesi Nutsu, a powerful, vocal and charismatic member of the ruling NDC party, whose future ambition is to snatch the parliamentary seat of Hohoe south constituency in the Volta Region.

The program features matters concerning achievements of the ruling NDC Government, as well as views of the opposition parties in the wake of upcoming December 2012 general elections.
There came a question for Mr. Agbesi to explain why the Government under President Mills could authorize the payment of a judgement debt of GhC58 Million to one Mr. Alfred Woyome,(self-styled NDC party financier).He (Agbesi) defended that, the Government has already directed the Economic and Organized Crime Office(EOCO) to investigate the circumstances surrounding the judgement payment.
To substantiate his claim, he (Mr.Nutsu) however made particular references to previous statements by the President concerning the set up commission, there the aspirant MP quoted “the issue is not whether the amount was paid [to Woyome], or who paid it” and has subsequently refocused the mandate of the Economic and Organized Crimes Office (EOCO) to find out” who incurred the liability”. Remarked by President Mills. ;

"On this note, I would not bother myself commenting on this subject matter, but rather concentrate on important issues” He stressed “Have you people so soon forgotten (Opipi piipi !!) Billions dollars debt incurred by the previous Government"? Agbesi lamented. When asked to detail the infrastructural developments of NDC Government, The NDC Guru quizzed the presenter “Do you know Accra very well? Which area are you conversant with? Check Tetteh Quashie - Madina road, Tetteh Quashie - Lapas / Malam Junction Road, Achimota - Ofankor road", etc.Most of these roads were abandoned by the previous regime of NPP”.

“However, the NDC Government within 3 years has re-structured, re-constructed, and kept these roads tarred. He continued " 8years reign of NPP, darkness overshadowed our major roads, esp. Tema Motorway, Armed Robbery was rampant, But NDC came to rectify and eradicate them all" asked about the development at the health sector? Mr. Agbesi Nutsu quickly condemned " NPP actively mishandled the economy by” Tot per Tot" manner of developments and consequently caused financial blackout. Unlike the NDC better Ghana Agenda, the Government has constructed Hospital blocks at various districts and capitals eg.Tarkwah, Hospitals, Bekwai Hospitals etc, and National Health Insurance Scheme has been modified." To mention at least 3 social intervention projects? He (Agbesi) replied "school feeding program has been improved drastically whilst schools under trees have been reduced considerably. TOR debt incurred by the NPP has been paid off to rescue the Ghana Commercial Bank from bankruptcy.

With all these abnormalities, Prof. Mills never came to condemn or judge but to rescue and rectify collapsed situations. "He chipped in further that “Pilgrimage by Muslim community which used to create chaos and stampede at the airports have been stabilized as a results of establishment of effective hajj management board by the NDC Government.
The presenter, Mr. Owusu asked to comment on recent remarks made by the Former President Rawlings concerning house cleaning exercise within the NDC party. Agbesi defended further that “if you are in the house and your father advises you against something, you need to adhere to whatever he says and respect him. On this note, President Mills would carry out reshuffle and I think it will serve the same purpose of house cleaning”.
At this juncture, Karim Abilla, a representative of the communication team of NDC Germany Chapter, contributed and urged all NDC Members as well as the sympathizers both home and abroad to vote massively for Prof John Mills to continue his Better Ghana Agenda come December 2012 general elections...
In conclusion, Mr. Agbesi Nutsu used the opportunity to wish all Ghanaians a happy new year and promised them of peaceful, free and fair election in December, 2012 and expressed the hope that; the election would be one touch victory in favor of NDC under President Prof. John Atta-Mills.
